BDC Special Announcement
We are pleased to announce that long-time BDC Members Sabrina Schmidt Gordon and Rafeé Kamaal have been named Co-Chairs of the Black Documentary Collective. Sabrina is a NYC-based documentary filmmaker, having produced and edited award-winning films and new media projects, including Beyond Beats and Rhymes, and Mrs. Goundo's Daughter. She recently received an NEA Grant to produce BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez, a profile of the renowned artist and activist. Rafeé is CEO of RAKA International Inc., a New York based multimedia, multi-platform, interactive, production, programming, distribution, marketing and e-commerce enterprise. He is the Associate Producer of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's basketball documentary, On the Shoulders of Giants.
